One Bunker Hill Los Angeles, California Principal Architect, Christopher Johnson worked on this important Downtown Los Angeles landmark as a Project Manager with The Shimazu Partnership, Marina Del Rey, California. Renovation and restoration were undertaken along with the need for a new ground floor building and new facade. This was necessitated by the removal of a street that rose across the site and up Bunker Hill. The blending of new contemporary design with the historic elements of the existing building were key to the successful completion and approval of this project. The project was completed over several phases with the input of the City of Los Angeles and various local preservation interests.
